The ABS plastic can easily be painted with any solvent-based paint.

It has the 1984-86 surface grain texture, 1979-83 cars had a slightly different grain but is hard to notice unless you look closely.

1979-82 did not have the upper 2 holes that were added 1983-86 most likely to stop rattle noises.
