Installation Note:

This OE Style mounting kit will work for all 1979 thru 2004 Mustangs. They are designed to be a directly replacement for all those year. See Restoration note below for a more in depth look at this kit.

Restoration Note:

This mounting kit for 1979 thru 1986 Foxbody Mustangs is labeled as replacement style hardware due to many differences from the original hardware used on those years. Foxbodys from 79 thru 86 did not feature hex head flange bolts they used a standard hex head bolt with a large hex head. They did use top lock / distorted thread flange locking nuts. Also both the bolt and the nut featured a black phosphate finish. This kit is a great upgrade to the original style but if you are looking for a more correct kit ask us.

This mounting kit for 1987 thru 98 Foxbody and SN95 Mustangs is labeled as OE style hardware due to it offering as close to original style hardware as possible. This kit features the correct hex head flange bolts that were used from 1987 thru 1998. As well as the correct top lock / distorted thread flange locking nuts that were used in those years as well. Both the bolt and the nut are finished in a similar black phosphate coating that was used from 1987 thur 1998. So if you are looking for the closest OE style hardware for your 1987 thur 1998 Mustang this is the kit for you. Note some 94-98 Mustangs did feature a top lock nut in a silver finish but most featured black phosphate.

This mounting kit for 1999 thru 2004 SN95 Mustangs is labeled as replacement style hardware due to many differences from the original hardware used on those years. SN95 Mustangs from 1999 thru 2004 did feature a hex head flange bolt similar to what is offered in this kit but the finish was a silver zinc and not a black phosphate. The main difference was in 1999 Ford started using Nylon lock hex head flange nuts and not the top lock / distorted thread design. The change from Ford is the main reason why this kit is listed as Replacement style. This kit can be used on 99 thru 04 model year but if you are looking for a more correct kit ask us.
