Power steering conversion box for 1964-1970 Ford Mustangs that currently have a XR - XY Falcon steering box, with 1-1/8" sector shaft. Modern integral power steering conversion box with a quick 14:1 quick ratio and firm modern feel. Steering column modifications required for installation. All Pro Steer power steering boxes are manufactured, assembled and tested in Australia from local & globally sourced components.

NOTE: 1967 Mustangs Used 1" & 1-1/8" pitman shafts measure first!

NOTE: This box fits XR - XY Falcons with 1-1/8" Sector Shaft.

NOTE: XR - XY will need the XW - XY collapsable column modified with our lower shaft and coupler to make room for the taller box.

NOTE: RHD converted Mustangs may need the tower notched as per the pics, depending on the exact location that your box has been placed.

NOTE RHD Mustangs will either need the column partially collapsed to make room for the 990016 coupler, or use the XW-XY lower shaft and coupler kit. You will need to work out what way to go on a case by case basis, as every RHD Mustang is unique.

Pitman Shaft: 1-1/8" Ford with 32 Splines and 4 Master Splines

Pressure Port: 16mm X 1.5 Flare (Located closest to engine)

Return Port: 16mm X 1.5 Flare (Located closest to input shaft)

Maximum Pressure: 1450 PSI Maximum Operating Pressure, 1100-1250 Optimal

Flow Rate: 2.0-2.5 GPM Flow Rate Recommended
