Upgrade your early Mustang with our complete T5 5-Speed Conversion Kit, engineered for a seamless bolt-in upgrade to modern overdrive performance while retaining the originality of your classic drivetrain. This kit is designed for Mustangs equipped with a factory 5-bolt bellhousing, including support for select 260, 289 V8 configurations.

Compatible with the original 5-bolt Dagenham bellhousing  small block, casting #C3AA-6394-C. this kit allows installation of a 1983–1993 Ford T5 5-speed transmission using the stock clutch linkage or a modern cable setup.

Installation Notes:
Original 5-bolt bellhousings require modification:

• Drill clearance hole

• Adapter plate compensates for T5 input shaft length and bolt pattern

• Use original clutch linkage or cable conversion as needed

For 260ci, 289 V8 Mustangs, this kit supports installation using bellhousing #C3AA-6394-C, adapting the Dagenham bolt pattern to the later T5 configuration.

Caution:
Always verify pilot bushing fitment — some T5 transmissions have a smaller pilot diameter, and improper fitment can lead to clutch chatter or gear disengagement.

Compatibility Note:
This kit is designed to work with TRA-000-389 (TREMEC T5 5-Speed) and is not compatible with TRA-000-361 (TREMEC TKX/TKO). Call for TKX/TKO adapter details.
